Jennifer Marie Novotny, Certified Massage Therapist

Jennifer graduated from the Rocky Mountain Institute of Healing Arts in 2005 where she completed both an 825 hour massage program and a 200 hour Energy Program. Jennifer received her National Certification November 2005 and started her own massage business in Durango, Colorado . Jennifer is certified in Swedish massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Anatomy and Physiology of the Energetic Fields and Multidimensional Healing Approaches.   She also has knowledge of Asian modalities such as Shiatsu and Polarity Therapy. Other personal interests include Color Light Therapy, Aromatherapy and Bach Flower Essences, Acupressure, Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Reflexology. Jennifer moved to Boulder to gain certification in these areas. Mud and Herbal wraps, Hot Stone Massage and Salt Scrubs, are offered with massage and are found to be rejuvenating and therapeutic.  Please contact Jennifer with any questions about these particular treatments.  Jennifer “looks forward to achieving a healthier and more relaxed new you.”

Vidya Glover, Yoga Instructor and Therapist

Vidya learned yoga and Nepali body therapies while growing up in Nepal with her grandparents. As the oldest sibling she gave traditional Nepali healing massage including stretching, yoga and range of motion to her newborn siblings and mother after giving birth. She was taught by her mother’s traditional Nepali midwives. As the eldest she taught her siblings, cousins and friends yoga every day. As an adult she has traveled to different countries which had health centers where she learned more about massage therapy by receiving and doing massage and teaching yoga. Upon arriving in the United States she is certified to teach CORE POWER YOGA, has studied Hatha/Vinyasa and continued with teaching yoga and doing massage privately. She is a Certified Nurses Aide.

Brynda offers the following:
Swedish - light to medium pressure to stimulate circulation, ease sore muscles and reduce tension. Deep Tissue - corrective massage, reaching deeper muscle layers for acute or chronic patterns of tension, aches and pains. As a result, muscle tension and toxins are released, allowing blood and oxygen properly.
Structural Integration, the work of Ida Rolf - Ten sessions. Each session builds on the previous, bringing into alignment the whole body system. Treatments include re-education, applied body awareness and movement.

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage - massage for the mother-to-be and new Moms.
Qi Gong (Chi Kung)- An ancient Chinese practice that combined with Healing Touch helps reduce stress, increases energy, improves mental clarity and enhances a high level of well being.
Reflexology - Pressure applied to areas of the feet corresponding to various organs and systems of the body.
A must for hikers.

Annette Yuan, Certified Massage Therapist

Annette is a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and has been practicing massage since 2003. She enjoys working with the client to design a personal and effective session to address his or her needs. She has been trained in several bodywork modalities and will often use a variety of techniques in one session. She suggests a Swedish massage for relaxation and to relieve stress. Neuromuscular techniques such as trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage address pain or aches. She also offers shiatsu and craniosacral therapy sessions.
